Sewing is a lot like life...sure, there are patterns for just about everything, but in order to love what you do, or love what you make, you have to change the pattern to make it your own regardless if the change is a fraction of an inch or the length of a yard. And more often that not, those choices you make to change the pattern do not work out exactly the way you hope. It can be frustrating and challenging, and sometimes you have have to rip it all apart at the seams and start completely over. Which requires patience. A lot of patience. But in doing so, you create something that is far more rewarding, and far more beautiful, then what you started with.

Blog Hop!

How fun is this? I told you I was becoming a party girl (shhhh those who knew me in college!)!!

Now....a short intro about me.....hmmmm.....like my site says I am just a small town girl who found her home in the big city....I love my husband, my little boy, my family, my friends and my two sweet Cavaliers Mollie Girl and Macy Mae.

I am a full time working mom and once my little man turned two and started to become more self sufficient, I started to realize that outside of taking care of my family and going to work every day, I really didn't have anything for me, anything that I liked to do or that I was passionate about.

I tried my hand at a few different crafty thing, but I realized that I just am not the crafty type. So, I tried sewing instead and I LOVE IT! I love finding fabrics that make my heart race and I love even more taking two pieces of fabric and making them into something that someone else can use and enjoy. Then Sew Super Sweet was born!

I am a new blogger, but I hope you enjoy your time here! I know I am going to enjoy "hopping" around this weekend! Thanks for "hopping" by!!

  1. Hi, Emily! I'm also a full-time working mom (for now) with a two-year-old (who's almost 3)! I admire anyone who has the patience for sewing. Outside of blogging and photography, my creative outlet is scrapbooking. But I can't make it through cutting out a single pattern! :)

  2. I've been blog hopping all summer long. I've been finding some really great and FUNNY blogs. I'm excited that someone I KNOW has started a blog and shared it with me! :) (I have a cousin who blogs since she had her baby a year ago. I was excited she shared it with the family and went to visit and comment, but never comments on mine. Hmmm...what's that say about our cousinship? LOL)

Speaking from a Sew Super Sweet personal experience, I LOVE my two bags and crayon roll, too. I'm glad you took up sewing. Lord knows I couldn't do it.
