Sewing is a lot like life...sure, there are patterns for just about everything, but in order to love what you do, or love what you make, you have to change the pattern to make it your own regardless if the change is a fraction of an inch or the length of a yard. And more often that not, those choices you make to change the pattern do not work out exactly the way you hope. It can be frustrating and challenging, and sometimes you have have to rip it all apart at the seams and start completely over. Which requires patience. A lot of patience. But in doing so, you create something that is far more rewarding, and far more beautiful, then what you started with.

A Fun Etsy Feature!

What a fun weekend surprise! One of my toddler aprons was included in a super cute "Dinosaur Fun" themed treasury on Etsy! I love putting treasuries together, so it is so nice to have one of my items featured in one!

Fun Feature from a Favorite!

Thank you so much to Misty at Creative Itch for featuring one of my butterfly aprons this morning, what a nice surprise and a huge compliment! Creative Itch's Sew Cute Tuesday was one of the very first parties I started sharing on, so to be featured by Misty is so nice!

What I love about it is it is specifically for sewing projects, so it is also one of my favorites to check back on every week to see all the wonderful sewing projects everyone else has listed! Definitely be sure to stop over there and participate in Sew Cute Tuesday! I'll see you there!

I've posted different aprons a few different times over the last two weeks, so here are the links to them all in one spot:

And a new one I finished Sunday night, the Robot!
Don't let the pictures fool you, the aprons fit children from 2-5 years old and several of them are over in my shop. Matching crayon rolls are also available, what a fun holiday gift!

Happy Tuesday!

Thank you! Thank you! - UPDATED

Okay, so now I am just speechless! Honestly, my heart is happy. My monkey cupcakes are being featured today by Kim over at the super fun blog Seven Thirty Three ! And not only are they featured, but it is because they were the MOST VIEWED link last week! I cannot even believe it! Kim's site is great because along with other fun link parties she hosts each week, she specifically hosts a Sugar & Spice party for girls AND a What Little Boys are Made Of party for you guessed it, boys. How fun is that!? And for a mom of a little boy, we need all the crafty inspiration we can get! Thanks SO much Kim!

Thank you so, SO much to both Malea at Yesterday on Tuesday and Suzy at Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom for their incredible nice features today! I think features are wonderful and today the two of them have brightened my already long and exhausting week and I cannot thank them enough!

Over at Yesterday on Tuesday, Malea is one of two bloggers that hosts the super fun A Crafty Soiree party each week, which I LOVE to join! This week Malea featured my yellow and gray Birdie Sling Bag and I've already linked up my little Japanese Knot Bag, so head over to the Crafy Soiree party and link up yourself! Thank you Malea, for the feature!

A Crafty Soiree

I also would like to give a huge thank you to Suzy at Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom for featuring not only the Sew Super Sweet blog, but several items from my Etsy shop as well. I think it is absolutely the nicest compliment when someone voluntarily shares about you, and especially your shop, which is what is so fun about Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom ! Thank you Suzy, for the nicest compliments I have received on my work. :)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Finding Fabulous made my day!

Can you imagine my surprise when I opened my google reader only to find that Sew Super Sweet is being featured today by Jane over Finding Fabulous?!

Jane hosts a weekly link party called Marketplace Monday, which is such an awesome idea because it allows Etsy shop owners an awesome opportunity to share their stores! And I have visited many, many of the stores and I cannot tell you enough what an awesome place Etsy is for handmade and vintage goods! I love it! Head over there now and check it all out! And yes, I just realized I said awesome at least three times, but I am excited! :)

Thank you SO much Jane for making my day!!!

I am also liking up today over at Seven Thirty Three and her Sugar and Spice link party! Head over and check out all the fun handmade items for girls only!
